Hi, I'm Stephanie Thurow. I'm the author of Can It & Ferment It, WECK Small-Batch Preserving, WECK Home Preserving and co-author of Small-Scale Homesteading. I'm a certified master food preserver and master gardener and I am a contributing writer for Hobby Farms, Chickens and Northern Gardener magazines. I teach and present on the traditional living skills topics that I write about. I have over twenty years of experience safely preserving food. I am a suburban homesteader that raises laying hens, makes maple syrup, grows hundreds of pounds of fresh organic produce annually, preserves food and much more.
